Hello all! I used to play DWO waaaaaay back in the summer of 2001. Myself and several friends played that game for the better part of the summer, and enjoyed what it had to offer. We played it, and followed the progress of DWO 1.90. Well, like pretty much every other player of DWO, we waited...and waited...and WAITED, and finally, after a couple years of following the project, it was declared dead (through no fault of Silk Wizard). That was 5 years ago.
At this point, I'm still a fan of DWO. I haven't played it in a LONG time, bit I still very much enjoy the time I spent playing the game with my friends. What I'm wondering is whether or not Silk Wizard will pick up the project again? I am aware that extinuating circumstances forced the death of DWO 1.90, but I have also heard that Silk still has an older version of the source code. Who here would like to see DWO revived and version 1.90 finally finished? If so, post your thoughts and feeling on the matter.
Please note that this is not a thread to post dumb stuff, nor is it a thread to bash Silk Wizard. Please refrain from posting such things if you are so inclined.
Lastly, some people have stated that they feel Silk Wizard did not resume his work on the project (with the older version of the source code) out of laziness. Well, whether it's that, or demoralization (think of any time you've lost time and/or effort when a save game was erased), maybe he just needs a little jump-start, or maybe a little help to alleviate the workload?

I followed your links, and, all I can say is "wow." NEStalgia looks great. I loved how, despite looking like an NES game, the menus and interface don't appear clunky at all. Also, I can't help but laugh when I hear Balzack (Balzackia, anyone?). Would you be averse to my calling it a spiritual successor to DWO? Or would this better be a work borne of all of your others...?
Also, I must apologize for my post. Even though it wasn't intended to be rude, after having read your post on NEStalgia, I feel it was disrespectful to approach it in the way that I did, which was lacking in consideration for how you approach these games.
Ya'know, something I always like about NES (and to a lesser degree, SNES) games was that, due to their graphical limitations, they required you to use more of your imagination, which, for me, made the worlds I played in more vibrant and alive. Nowadays, too much emphasis seems to be put into graphics, to the point where, sometimes, the gameplay and story suffer. Thanks for making games that still allow for the imagination to play a part during gameplay.
