Silk,
A friend and I recently started a Dragon Warrior Online game, and yesterday as I was leading our party of two, I moved into the sea at the tip of the peninsula west of the first town. A ship appeared on the coastline in place of us where we had moved, and I immediately moved back to the land. Our party reappeared, but the ship stayed there, and a few other ships appeared on the land nearby. So this looks like a bug that happens when non-ship-users try to move into the sea as if to sail. Please look into this. And fellow players, avoid the sea if you have not earned a ship.
Thanks! --McKathlin

Hey thanks for the post!
This is actually a fairly old bug that people have been abusing for years to be able to use boats.
Dragon Warrior Online actually hasn't been worked on since 2004. There was a huge problem with Silk losing the source code due to his coding computer breaking. He'd salvaged the hard drive and put it in a self-storage unit, and then to add insult to injury his storage unit was broken into and the hard drive was stolen....
It's a bummer that the game can't be completed, but it's nice to see people still enjoying what there is.

Ouch! I'm sorry to hear about the source code. Yes, I've been enjoying the game quite a lot as is. My brother and I have had a lot of fun teaming up and strategizing together in battle. We're especially impressed with the NPC's and that they follow tactics, etc. Thanks for the response, Balzack. --Kathy W.

Silk has said he has source code that's older, he just doesn't want to work on it (slacker).
